there is valid reasons to use generative AI. Making stupid, low effort, but high quality memes is absolutely one. I also enjoy the YT channel that cranks out AI generated videos of movie trailers. My favorite is still harry potter but in berlin. “One does not simply walk into the berghain” is just way too funny
Progress definitely has been made, for example, now AI can draw Lenin who looks like Lenin, while just two years ago, AI Lenin looked like this:

That’s definetly not here most of the time.
it only seems to be true on chinese social media – where ai is being used for the public good and you can see it in how much the public is embracing it as a result.
