i was going to recommend she invest in one of those portable oil filled radiators, but it looks like the price for those is insane now. got mine for like 20 bucks several years ago and it works extremely (almost too) well, but it look like the one i have is like 80 bucks now. wow.
Oil to radiate the heat more evenly. Not oil to burn. No different than any other $20 electric space heater except they are quieter and more consistent once up to temperature.
