My official stance on display_name is negative, specifically due to impersonation and UX concerns (you can see my full thoughts here: https://vger.social/comment/4447844)
While I won’t support showing display_name by default, I would consider showing a future flair by default.
I would also support adding a setting to show display_name if it was off by default.
I believe that’s what they mean with flair, though I’m surprised Voyager doesn’t support either. I can recommend Summit though if you consider trying a different app
Does Summit have customizable slide gestures? Like, I can slide a comment to the right to upvote or slide it to the left to reply, I’ve been using Voyager for like a month and I’m really surprised at how much I like that feature.

i believe it’s just the client, meaning, that program or website you use to view lemmy content. which client are you using?

I just looked at it on safari and everything was different. Maybe they’ll get to that someday?

Yes, Summit does have configurable slide gestures. There are also many options to tweak the Layout to your preferences/what you’re used to
