AI is a great help for coding. Not a substitute. But in general, the way ai is applied to everything it’s just annoying. I don’t need it in my search, my shopping, my car or anything like that. A tool is a tool and should be used responsibly. I mean I don’t try to chop my vegetables with a chainsaw, just because the chainsaw looks cooler than my knife and in theory can also chop vegetables as well.

There is no good use for LLMs and media generation as a whole, because none of the possible uses justify the costs of making these tools.

Expert programs (patern recognition, protein folding, speech generation) on the other hand, go right ahead.

Edit : and you defenitely can’t write code with an expert programm…

It can be an efficient tool to create a base for further work. If is have to choose between a programmer slaving away for weeks or months to build a solid framework, or an ai doing it in a few hours, I’d pick the ai, since it uses less resources. The programmer is better applied at working out the kinks and specifics.
