MIT researchers developed a new way to extract pure hydrogen gas from ammonia. Their strategy reduces the amount of energy needed and could make it cheaper and easier to run hydrogen fuel cells.
They suspiciously didn’t mention how much electricity it takes. And still requiring 200-300°C means it still needs some form of cracking facility.
It sounds like a bit of a dead end of they can’t fix the palladium thing. Too costly and Too few benefits.
