Plus I get the little popup when a friend starts a game so we can join up. Pretty sure there is an option to close it for real when you close the window, so it is a choice.

I’m good with steam running in the background for updates and whatnot but discord needs to quit their shit when I close it.

I have like 3 dozen games installed so there are updates frequently enough that I am good with it doing its thing.
