The Kingdom of Conscience will be exactly as it is now. Democrats don’t really have beliefs. Sometimes they stumble on one, like on a child’s toy left on the carpet. The toy must be put away immediately. And the child reprimanded.

It’s not about bad or good even, it’s about having “principles” and acting on them. Democrats in general, for better and worse, are permissive to all kinds of stuff but have a real hard time agreeing on where lines are drawn and picking hills to fight for and die on together.

It’s like a kid having a tantrum on the floor of a public place and the parent going “sorry this is horrible but this just how he acts” and doing nothing to correct them or change the situation when they totally can.

Republicans don’t really have that problem, even when it’s objectively the dumbest shit ever.

Indeed the results are the same under both, but of the two at least Republicans have the virtue of honesty. Democrats lack even that.

Yes, I’m such a PaTriOt that I am deeply ashamed of most of the things the US does. But hey, at least I’m not so shallow that I think cool red logos justify disgusting and brutal authoritarianism under a different name.

Your shame and a dollar would be worth a dollar.

Read like, any book from outside the States. Or speak to someone who actually lived in these “brutal authoritarian” states.

Your shame is as worthless as your political action lol, authoritarianism is a thought-terminating buzzword employed by spineless liberals too terrified of the idea of wielding power for good to actually do anything to help

Weird. It’s almost like it’s tankie/Russian propaganda. “Both sides are bad and the same and it’s hopeless! Give up.”

Not everyone who criticizes the dem party is a malicious. They are saying dems arent really trying and are actively blocking real change. Judging by how the party is treating Mamdani, its a valid take.
