It’s 1990, after an explosion who killed you you’re placed in half life. The problem with Jory in the Sanitarium has been solved.

Researchers have found a solution to people with psychic powers eating other people in the same structure.

By working with people from the new id psychic software studio they devised an alternate reality where other patients are transformed into imps and other hellish creatures. Patients are provided with an array of guns to defend themselves from attacks.

Level 2, pick up your shotgun.

I give it <10 years before we get neural nets running on biological neurons. Things are starting to move dangerously fast now

Ha ha! These are ‘human neurons’ … the end result probably resembles what we’ve already got. Get 'em fooled about what reality is, and profit.

Just hook up one neuron to a B button a controller.

That’s how low the bar is for “science” under capitalism.

They can’t see the game, so I don’t think it matters. They just experience a stimulation in one area of their clump when a daemon appears on one side of the screen.

For all we know, they see Jesus and their reaction is to say hello, which the scientists translate to “shoot”

This phony BS again? Nobody has talked about this grift for months with good reason.

Hooking up a meatwad to a “shoot” button and a left/right sensor is not “learning to play ‘DOOM’”. The video doesn’t even show the meatwad playing except maybe for a few cherry picked seconds.

The “biotech” grift preceded the “AI” grift but neither ever ended.
