I still don’t know how mop water always converges to the same flavour with repeated use, even in different environments.

Like, the mop in a commercial garage, your grocery store (unless it’s been used to clean up an oil spill), and in your basement all produce very similar tasting water.

I’ve only extended bar mop when my friend threw up all over the bar and they made us clean it up.

She ate a bunch of fruit loops or something so it was like this weird strong sour fruity smell. Thinking about it makes me feel gross.

So I don’t know, but I’m pretty sure if not used to clean up fruit loops vomit it would be similar. I’ve used a lot of mops in a lot of places.

You’d think it’d be more tangy what with all the dried piss on the floor in the men’s, but no. It evens out still.

Even bathroom mops tend to converge on that same flavour.

I did a stint as a grounds keeper at a theme park, so I’m familiar with mop water from bathrooms to back offices, to fast food floors, grocery stores, commercial garages, and office space. I even mopped a laser tag room — that one was epic, you have no idea how much stuff people lose while playing laser tag, I found two watches and tons of change, all sorts of stuff. Dusty as heck though.

As I mentioned elsewhere, no, I have not experienced bar mop water except one time when drunk, so not a fair sample.
