    After 10 years, Ext4 is still the best FS.

    I haven’t used ext4 for a couple of years. Does it really have any advantages over xfs and btrfs?

      It is the fastest, nothing more

      No transparent compression is important too, you will need more storage than when using BTRFS with zstd compression

      Also no deduplication, so again more storage

      For root drives (where recovery may be required) and database drives it still serves a purpose, IMHO.
