Right, ironically it’s best advise to pay in cash instead of card. Withdraw a certain amount of money as budget for certain time period. That way, you could easily monitor how much you are spending because you physically see how much you’re spending. If you pay mostly or everything by card, it becomes harder to monitor how much you are spending because you don’t physically that you are reaching your budget limit.
I admit I used to prefer to pay by cash but the pandemic changed my habit and everyone else’s. It doesn’t help that establishments are increasingly demanding cashless transactions. They know what they are doing because you are more likely to spend more than you intend if everything is paid for by cashless. It doesn’t help either that inflation had gone up.
My sister-in-laws parents were washing their ground beef. Not like, in the plastic wrapping or anything semi-sane like that. They were taking the ground beef out of its package and washing it with soap and water.
