She just has the classical matriarch yuck about her. Like a stereotypical mother in law that is INSISTENT that she is in a higher social strata than those around her, thus, insufferable.
I don’t know of a bad Lwaxana episode and I don’t understand the hate. I just assume it’s sexism and ageism.
