We know as a species how to do a lot of stuff we don’t normally do because there’s no market. In this particular case you can get one of those keyboards starting at around $100. I wonder how many of them are never washed because the doctor’s office doesn’t have a keyboard dishwasher installed?
I wouldn’t bank on mechanical key switches to dry out while they’re assembled. A membrane keyboard would probably be fine though.
