The issue is not what they look like it’s that they invade your house.

For example I quite like butterflies. But if I suddenly started finding them all around my home I would start hating them

Butterflies are just insects with fairy wings. They don’t fool me.

I got stalked by a butterfly when I was a kid and I never got over it. They’re still after me to this day.

      Stupid men, invading your home!

Next thing you know, you accidentally let one in your bedroom.

(This is a kind of satire and not referring to you yourself).

Well maybe butterflies are a bad example. Maybe spiders. If you see one it’s not a big issue but if suddenly your house is overflowing…

Well their job in nature is to break down dead plants and help add nitrogen to the soil so it is ripe for replanting when a random seed or what not lands and works into said soil. The fact that they are in homes in theory means we either have rotting wood or some kind of organic matter that they are finding nice to break down. Otherwise I figure they would just move on because they have no food source.

Spiders I let build webs over the first 1/4 of my door frame on the way down, because I remember to duck and they don’t cause me any harm, while keeping some other bugs who try to fly in when I open the door out. It is a symbiosis that ends in a face full of cobwebs when you arent paying attention lol

Most cockroaches are pretty chill. I bought tons to feed to my bearded dragon over the years, never freaked me out. Then again, that’s very different from encountering them in your closets or elsewhere in your home.

It’s a consent and cleanliness thing. If i have cockroaches, theres something very wrong in my house i need to fix right now, which freaks me out. That extends to seeing them outside of my house, because i dont want them inside of my house
