What time is it? Why, ten before half 4, of course. A very normal and sane way of telling the time.
There’s so many normal ways to tell the time in Danish, so your above example does occur in spoken language
The Dutch say the final number before the second last. 23 in Dutch is pronounced 3 and 20, 64 is 4 and 60.

So does Danish, they just add the weird math on top because they had to beat both French and German.
English still does this for numbers <20
Germanic languages also have fun names for 11 and 12, which basically mean “one left over” and “two left over”.
