Why the fuck does nobody know the difference between loose and lose anymore? I swear this wasn’t a thing that was commonly confused a few years back.

I feel like that “interested” button is to put certain people on a list…
Yeah, that’s something that’ll never change.

At least they’d never take it on the chin
I gotta eat so yeah. Say what you want but at the end of the day none of you haters are gonna pay my rent. This is the world we live in. Until I have any other options, I’ll be going with what pays. Companies don’t give a shit about your personal opinion. You either adapt or they’ll fire you and find somebody else. Then what? I can sit in my house reading my eviction notice thinking “I really showed those assholes!”?
Yeah, since I’m heavily “encouraged” (more like forced) to use it for work, I at least try my best to actually get something out of it! I have been in the IT industry for over 20 years and know just like any new technology, you either learn it while embracing change (even if you do it kicking and screaming) or you miss opportunities for better positions either where you’re at or elsewhere. I can’t afford to lose my job nor can I afford to miss out on opportunities just because I hate the direction my industry is going.
I mean, sure I can go against it while losing my job because I refuse to adapt… Then I’m starving to death but at least I kept it real? Where I work they have already performed a “reorg” laying off 10% and replacing an entire department with AI. I can resist in my personal life all I want but if my industry is going this direction all I can do is openly give my opinion (I do) while still going along with the changes happening.
How does one “ranch with” someone else? Do they share the same ramekin? Do they dip at the same time? Does one of them dip 2 pieces of whatever they’re eating then feed the other person? Is it like a bird feeding situation where one person dips then chews and spits it into the other person’s mouth?
I’m so confused and need answers!
It truly depends on how you use AI. I use it as a tool at work to help me learn along with other things and it works great! The people that use it to learn for them are the ones that get nothing out of it.
For instance, I’m learning a subject and I’m stuck. It’s stupid specific. I then get told the right answer but don’t understand why it’s the right answer.
Then using AI, I give the question and answer asking it to explain why. It then teaches me to figure out the why and creating a similar question for me to answer and get either right or wrong.
The people that are just using it to get the answer to the question in the first place aren’t learning anything.
I personally don’t like AI but it isn’t going anywhere. Since my industry has decided to use it heavily, I have to adapt or become irrelevant.

Ahhh so this explains the Parmesan cartel. If you don’t know, the only “true” Parmesan comes from Italy and there’s a cartel of pretty ruthless (legally, not like drug cartels or anything lol) people that try their best to keep it that way.
There was a bunch of drama once about a guy in the US that was a cheese making hobiest that tried to make his own parmesan using some methods he thought of. The Parmesan cartel in Italy sent him a cease and decist letter.
It’s funny how the lifecycle of men’s clothes is so different. First there’s the good clothes. Then, when they wear down, they are pushed into the “use when getting dirty” clothes. This is specifically used to go fishing, work on the car, yardwork, moving shit, etc.
Dress clothing however just gets donated. This is why if you go to a thrift store, you’ll see much more dress clothing than any other clothing for men.
I used to work at a thrift store a long time ago and tried to figure out why there were so many button downs and suits for men and nothing else.
“This girl made me a cake, do you think she’s into me?”
“Can’t be too sure, could just be that she was talking about a pound of cake”

“Not even being provocative”… Proceeds to justify being a pedo.
Nice of them to make a line to break it in half. That wasn’t a common thing in my day.
